About the Talk
Although more and more mental health care offerings are coming to the surface, the number of people suffering from mental illness is continuously on the rise. This tendency forces us to question the concept of individualism in therapy and opens a door, behind which pain and trauma can be seen as a collective experience that can be cured within the collective. Which role does art play in collective healing? How can we address the pain caused by structural injustice? And why sometimes all we need is to hear someone say „I feel it, too.“?
In this talk, Dr Thuli Wolf will enlighten us about the healing power of art, taken from her own experience as a medical doctor and art therapist; and the importance of going away from predominant individualistic therapeutic perspectives and start focusing on the power of the communal.

About the NeuroArt Nexus
Our Members’ Meeting has taken on a new shape with the NeuroArt Nexus. It is a space where, once a month, we come together as a community to listen to fascinating speakers, discuss projects, develop collaborations, and investigate inspirations. This month, it will be held in person in Berlin with our collaborators Eye Square GmbH. And no, you don’t need to be a member to join! Below you will find some impressions of the previous sessions on Neuroaesthetics in March and the neuroscience of poetry in April.
We look forward to welcoming you in May!
