September 14th, 2026 – Gat Point Charlie Hotel
Written by Sara Spencer

Many people understand Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) as just a medical tool for its widespread use in medicine, such as data harvesting and analytical procedures. But how can it be used even beyond that? Artists are realizing BCIs’ full potential, pushing boundaries beyond just a medical tool, but as an artistic medium, a method to explore the intimacies of our brains, and a means of deep expression.
We’re excited to announce our next Nexus event, A Nexus on Neuroscience and Immersive Environments with INNATIVE LAB, in collaboration with its founder, José Fernando Andrade.
Held at the Gat Point Charlie Hotel on September 14th, this Nexus will explore BCIs’ use for relational media, as Andrade examines the synergy between EEG, immersive audiovisuals, and embodied movement. Additionally, we’ll discuss how neurofeedback workshops can enhance intuition, health, and collective dynamics. Ultimately, the session questions how neurotechnology can expand perception and interactive spaces, from the interfaces we use to the environments we inhabit.

ABOUT ANDRADE
Founder of INNATIVE LAB in Berlin, José Fernando Andrade blends performing arts and spatial design to explore the synergy between neuroscience and immersive environments. He reimagines BCIs and responsive media not as analytical tools, but as generative materials that allow physical and cognitive states to shape real-time experiences. Centered on embodied perception and collective brain synchronization, his work is regularly showcased at innovation, art, tech, health, and design events.

See you there!
